Tyler Woods Background

Tyler has worked in crisis intervention and suicide prevention since the early 90’s and remains active in that field, working with Survivors of Suicide. Prior to this she worked for ten years with the dually diagnosed population. Tyler earned her BA in Holistic Psychology and her Master's in Counseling Psychology. She then went on and earned a Doctor in Philosophy in Holistic Health, focusing on healing through alternatives that aid in emotional and healthy well being.

She is a board certified holistic health practitioner though the American Alternative Medical Associate. In addition, she is a certified energy healer, a registered life coach, certified holistic health counselor through the American Association of Holistic Health Counseling, a member of The Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology and a member of the Holistic Health Association. After twenty years of being in the social service field, Tyler realized that healing had to come from a deeper level involving three dimensions, not just the mind, but the body and the spirit.

She retired as a psychotherapist in April of 2004 and opened the Mindhance Wellness Center.Tyler began to concentrate on healing mental health issues through a holistic lens. She understands that as human beings we are multi-dimensional, interlinked and inseparable. But what happens when one of these components experiences a disturbance? The body requires nurturing, the mind requires calmness and the spirit needs to be engaged for us to have total equilibrium.

Tyler believes that healing occurs when we choose a sense of balance over chaos, the effects of which can flow throughout the mind body spirit until it is visible. She believes that the natural approach to mental health issues creates balance over chaos. Healing is within our power if we believe in ourselves.
